What To Expect On Your Fitting

So the big day is almost here and it’s time to get fitted.  Today we will explain what you should expect.

If you are renting, the fitting will generally take place 1 or 2 days before the wedding. For a Saturday wedding, allow time in your plans for a Thursday or Friday fitting.  We prefer to do the fittings in our store because our tailors can handle adjustments on the spot and will generally have them done before you are fully dressed in your street clothes.

The fitting itself should take about 5 to 10 minutes (depending on how fast you can dress).  Some wedding parties like to arrive en mass and we generally will fit two individuals at a time (so for a group of 10 it would take roughly 30 to 40 minutes).

When fitting rental outfits, we can adjust the pant length, coat sleeve length, and in some cases, the coat waist.  All rental pants come with adjustable side tabs (wouldn’t it be nice if all pants were like this!).

If you are fitting a custom or ready made garment, the fitting should take place no later than two weeks prior to your event.

Regardlesss of whether you are fitting a rental or custom suit or tuxedo, we want the experience to be pleasant and we want you and your groomsmen to look their very best!
